Beacon Pointe’s Julie Johnson and Commie Stevens were honored to speak with a group of lovely ladies interested in giving their personal and financial life a spring cleaning. Schwab Honolulu’s financial consultants put on an informative and fun event that began with welcoming remarks by Branch Manager Colleen Blacktin, followed by Karen Simon of Island Organizers giving great tips on how to organize any area or project. The ladies then enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the famed eatery, Nikko’s at Pier 31, followed by Commie sharing the reasons why women need to get involved in their financial lives and Julie sharing practical tips to get their finances in order.

The event was part of a long-standing series of women-only educational events that make up the Schwab’s Women’s Investment Workshop series. The attendees particularly appreciated the practical handouts provided by Beacon Pointe to get their financial life in order (handouts: Document Retention Guidelines, Net Worth Statement, Vital Family Information) and the copy of Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz’s practical new book, The Charles Schwab Guide to Finances After Fifty.
