PRUDENT PURSE SERIES

FINANCIAL INGREDIENTS FOR LIFE: GIVING THE GIFT OF FINANCE

A sincere thank you to the ladies who joined us for our last Prudent Purse event of 2014! It was a fun night of tasty holiday dishes and thoughtful breakout sessions covering the financial life stages.

For those of you who were unable to join us, we hope to see you next time!  Our WAI mission is to educate, empower and engage women of all ages, so remember that your friends and family are always welcome to attend any of our events.  Below are some photos from last night.  In case you didn’t grab a gift bag on the way out, click here for Food Stylist and Expert Chef, Peilin Breller’s holiday recipe cards!

After our delicious food demonstration, we split into several different financial breakout sessions and covered different topics…

GETTING STARTED AND JUGGLING WORK AND FAMILY: understanding the positive impact of compounding growth, dealing with student loans and credit/debt, balancing work and time with your children, and the importance of an estate plan and life insurance as your family grows.

GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT RETIREMENT: this is the time to refine money habits and build financial muscle memory; get to know risk, not just return, and solidify a plan to know where to best save each dollar.

ENJOYING RETIREMENT: carefully make key Social Security and Medicare decisions, how to create your best retirement paycheck, key estate planning updates and how to assist your aging parents and their finances in a thoughtful way.
